Agree with you wholeheartedly! One more thing that I've seen is the loss of ownership of code when developers were treated as commodities. An example here: due to a developer going on leave or is busy with other work, other developers were assigned to their work so that the sprint does not lose velocity. When this is done often enough, developers eventually lose the sense of ownership of their work and this is detrimental to the Dev team, project, and project in the long-term.
